Happy Friday everyone! Here are my top 2 stories of the day.

1. Cisco can help get you better jobs and pay

The biggest misconception these days is that talent alone is what can get you the big jobs and even make yourself a CEO. 60-72% of employers look at IT certifications as a sign of expertise. Now Cisco has jumped on this bandwagon and is offering its own certifications. This is huge and can help if you want to up your potential/value. The “Ultimate Cisco Certification Super Bundle” includes nine courses and a ton of exams to test you. It will usually cost you around $3,285, but on a tech deal site called StackSocial, it is now offered for $49. With this under your belt, you can see an increase in job offers and pay-grades. The Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician certification is also a great option which can grab entry-level jobs. With the age of technology rising, it’s great to know what employers are looking for and how to get better offers.

2. Supreme Court helps your digital privacy

Today, the US Supreme Court has finally updated the 4th amendment. In a 5-4 ruling in the case of “Carpenter vs the United States,” the government now needs a warrant to access cell site location information. This information is collected whenever a cell phone connects to a tower. This has some leeway in comes cases. It is a huge step for digital privacy advocates. The link above explains more about the case. Give it a read if you’d like!

Thank you so much for reading and have a great weekend!
